No, She isn't the New Girl.....

EVERYONE, and I mean everyone tells me that this is the New Girl Zooey Deschanel when I show them a photo of my oldest dd posing for her 2013 Roller Warrior picture and I have to correct them every single time! It's really my girl all dolled up! :)

I used products from my March Studio Calico kit to make this layout - with some added letters from various older kits for the title.

I tried my hand at using modeling paste on my layout and I really like the way it turned out! I used a mask of dots that I cut from some cardstock using my Silhouette Cameo. It was so so simple to do and it dried very quickly! Because I did some tone on tone white with it, I spritzed a little mist across some of the dots. I also embedded a few star sequins into the paste while it was wet. They stay on like a charm!
I can't wait to try using more modeling paste on future projects!!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

My favorite project using Front Porch Kit's "Say Cheese" and a blog hop...

This was my favorite project that I created with my "say Cheese" kit from Front Porch Memories - a mini album that I made that contains some very cheesy photos of my family! The diecut title was an awesome addition to the kit as well as the very cool filmstrip that I layered across the bottom of my covers. The base of the album itself is made from the 3 file folders that were also included in my kit! I simply cut all three of the folders in half, rounded the one cut corner of each piece to mimic the already rounded corner of the file folder, and then sewed across the top and bottom of each page to create a pocket on each page! The pockets are perfect to house journaling tags or extra photos!

I layered lots of goodies inside, but to unite all of the pages, I used a piece of fabric on each spread base. There are several swatches of fabric in this kit, which include a fab set of different colors of chevron material...LOVE!! Not only did it add lots of color, but it gave some great texture to my album!!
I was so fun to layer all my pages using the Simple Stories Sn@p papers which I cut into pieces and used - LOVED all the awesome Polaroid frames and journal spots!!
Also included in my kit were some plastic rings. I used the 2 large rings to bind my book. They were solid circles, but I simply cut into each of them to create an opening to slide the pages into! It worked perfectly!!
I misted each of my pages in various complimentary colors for some extra fun and texture!
I still need to do some journaling, but this was such a fun fun mini to make and it came together so quickly using all the products from my kit!!

Be sure to check out the rest of teams favorite projects and how they made them and prepare to be inspired

Today is Full Reveal Day for Front Porch kits!!

This is the day for the full reveal of my projects I made with my Front Porch Kit - "Say Cheese"!! It has a fabulous mix of Simple Stories Sn@p! papers as well as the gorgeous Studio Calico "Darling Dear" line! There are also so many fun pieces included with this kit - a real strip of film, some chalkboard paper, the cutest grungeboard diecut camera, some wood veener, fabrics, as well as a full set of matching cardstock - and so much more!!

You can order the kit here from The Little Blue House website where you can also see the full reveal of the design board and all the goodies are on display that are in this kit!

For this layout I used the chalkboard piece of paper to make some speech bubbles and I used actual chalk to write on them!

I used the cute grungeboard camera piece (that I misted up) on this layout. I love the way the pieces of the camera come apart so I could color it the way I wanted to for this layout!

I diecut the arrow mat with my Silhouette Cameo and layered some of the fab patterned papers underneath it. Those Thickers are just to die for - they are so thick and heavy and just the perfect size and font for this fun layout!!

One of my favorite parts of this kit were all the Polaroid frames and I knew exactly how I wanted to use the typewriter framed Polaroid - doesn't it make a great card sentiment! I used the Maya Road bottle cap to house a small piece of the chalkboard paper and those very cool American Crafts Thickers! I love the texture that the pink fabric gives to this simple card!
