Layouts I worked on at my recent crop

These are two of the layouts I worked on at my first lss crop with the DT gals! I also did another one for some design team work, but I turned it in and I didn't get any pics of it! I can't believe I actually got some layouts done - it usually takes me a day for ONE layout!! I used my Feb Studio Calico kits for these. The top is of Samantha and Jonathan when they were toddlers when we were stationed in England. We would get a big box of toys and presents from my Mom and Dad for Christmas and they invariably would play in the box until it broke - and then play with their toys - LOL!! I used a bunch of sewn border rub-ons between the punched border and the ribbon. The bottom is of my ds Jonathan at school in front of his apartment. He still has those chubby cheeks like he did when he was a little boy ;)! I punched a border along the pp and turned it over to mist it before I used it on my layout. TFL!

2 DT layouts and a Studio Calico layout

Here are some of my recent layouts that I did - two for some DT work for my lss - Around the Corner in Little Rock - and one with my new Studio Calico kit! For my design team layouts (the top 2) I got a Little Yellow Bicycle kit full of cool stuff from their new Generation Z line. It's a boyish looking kit, but I wanted to show that you could use it for a girl too and did a layout of my niece (in the cool looking sunglasses). Some of their embellies are these cool gears and brads and I used the whole pack of nine on both of the layouts! The bottom layout is of my mom and me using my Feb Studio Calico kit. I love the frames that came in the add-on - and the cool doilies! TFL!

Quick layout and 3 of my favorite things!

I made this layout in record time - for me anyway! I usually take all day to work on a layout, but his one came together in an hour! I've had the title in my head as soon as I saw the pics and the longest part of this was waiting for the paint to dry on the chipboard shapes! This was the hotel we stayed in when we went to St. Louis to see the Saints play. It was a block away from the stadium and worth every penny because it was filled with Saints fan and we all partied all night long together! TFL!
Also - I'm doing a challenge of taking a picture a day of something I love for the month of February. I've taken the pictures for the past three days so the first three things I love are...my scrap space, my new camera lens, and my Ugg boots - that I've lived in since it's been so cold this winter here!

2 layouts in one day - that's a rare event!

OK, I did both of these yesterday....I can't believe it! It usually takes at least one full day to finish deliberating on one! I just love the layout with the picture of Danielle with the queen hat!

We were at Mardi Gras last year and it captures the real Danielle! I made the flower using an old prom dress of mine (I also made some of these for a recent handmade flower swap!) then I misted a little yellow on top of it. Love that Martha Stewart butterfly punch!! For the new year layout I used a Tim Holtz clock mask and misted over it with my favorite Maya mist color (dark cornflower blue). Both of these were for sketch challenges at Let's Capture Our Memories. They kinda look like the sketches anyway....LOL! TFL!
